Using Auto-Stacked Fractions

Fractions, when placed as text, can be automatically offset by enabling the Fractions option in the active text style (or text settings, if no text style is used). Using a ‘/’ character results in a normal stacked fraction, while using a ‘#’ character results in a diagonal stacked fraction.

The CAPABILITY_TEXT_AUTOSTACKFRACTIONS capability variable must be on for auto-stacking to occur (this capability is on by default). To ensure this capability is on, open the standards, WorkSpace, WorkSet, or user configuration file in a text editor, make sure _USTN_CAPABILITY <+CAPABILITY_TEXT_AUTOSTACKFRACTIONS is present in the file, and save the changes.

Tip: See ..\Bentley\MicroStation <version>\MicroStation\config\system\capability.list for a list of capabilities.
