Licensing with an Older ProjectWise Integration Server and “Bring Your Own License” Users

If you are running the ProjectWise Plug-in for WSG 24.00.01 with an older (Update 3.2) ProjectWise Integration Server version and you have “Bring Your Own License” users in your datasource, in order for your users to log in, you must perform the following steps on the machine where ProjectWise Plug-in for WSG is installed:

  1. Generate new Server Products Access Keys for the machines that have ProjectWise Plug-in for WSG installed. For more information, see Bentley Communities - KB0018864 “Server Product Access Keys”.
  2. Open the Task Manager, and then
    1. end task for Bentley.Licensing.Service.exe, then
    2. end task for Bentley.Connect.Client.exe.
  3. Open a command prompt as Administrator, and navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Bentley Shared\CONNECTION Client\LicService, and then run the following commands:
    1. Bentley.Licensing.ServerModeSetup.exe --clear
    2. Bentley.Licensing.ServerModeSetup.exe /serversetup /headless
    3. Bentley.Licensing.ServerModeSetup.exe /headleass -keyrefresh -key:<key_generated_in_Step_1_above> -name:PWServer,PWServerLegacy
      For example,

      Bentley.Licensing.ServerModeSetup.exe /headless -keyrefresh -key:GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG -name:PWServer,PWServerLegacy

  4. Restart the machine that has ProjectWise Plug-in for WSG installed.
