What's Delivered

Important: ProjectWise CONNECT Edition Update 3.4 includes downloads for Client Setups, Admin Setups, and a standalone download for ProjectWise Plug-in for Bentley Web Services Gateway. There is no Server Setups download for this release.

The core ProjectWise applications are delivered in the following three download packages:

  • ProjectWise Server Setups - contains ProjectWise Design Integration Server and other servers
  • ProjectWise Admin Setups - contains ProjectWise Administrator and other admin clients
  • ProjectWise Client Setups - contains ProjectWise Explorer and delivered integration modules

These download packages are available from the Software Downloads page under the following product groupings:

  • ProjectWise Design Integration (https://softwaredownloads.bentley.com/en/ProductDetails/2547)

    Includes CONNECT Edition releases of ProjectWise Server Setups, ProjectWise Admin Setups, ProjectWise Client Setups

    For example:

    • ProjectWise Design Integration CONNECT Edition - Server Setups (English) - Released
    • ProjectWise Design Integration CONNECT Edition - Admin Setups (English) - Released
    • ProjectWise Design Integration CONNECT Edition - Client Setups (English) - Released

    Includes CONNECT Edition releases of ProjectWise Client Setups, and integration modules get installed on top of ProjectWise Explorer.

ProjectWise Admin Setups

ProjectWise Admin Setups includes a single installer file that installs the following:

  • ProjectWise Administrator
  • ProjectWise Class Editor
  • Orchestration Framework Administrator
  • iCS for PDF Administrator
  • ProjectWise Analytics Data Upload Service
  • ProjectWise Example Dataset

These items are also delivered:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - installed automatically, if needed
  • CONNECTION Client - installed automatically, if needed
ProjectWise Administrator ProjectWise Administrator is the main administrative interface for ProjectWise and is used to create, configure, and manage ProjectWise datasources.
ProjectWise Class Editor A separate application used to create a hierarchy of ProjectWise object classes.
Orchestration Framework Administrator A separate application that administrators can install and use if they need to monitor the progress of automated file processing jobs of the ProjectWise Design Integration Server that have been configured and run from ProjectWise Administrator.
iCS for PDF Administrator Installs the Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF extension to Orchestration Framework Administrator, for remote administration of Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF.
ProjectWise Analytics Data Upload Service A separate application that is required to upload data to the ProjectWise Project Insights, which is one of the ProjectWise 365 services. Also available as a separate download, if a newer version becomes available after release. ProjectWise Administrator delivers ProjectWise Analytics Data Upload Service version 01.00.01.93, which at the time of this release is also the latest available version you can download.

ProjectWise Client Setups

ProjectWise Client Setups includes a single installer file that installs the following:

  • ProjectWise Explorer
  • Integration for supported applications
  • ProjectWise Deliverables Management connector for ProjectWise Explorer

These items are also installed:

  • ProjectWise Prerequisite Runtimes - automatically installed, if needed
  • CONNECTION Client - automatically installed, if needed
  • Bentley DGN Navigator Control
ProjectWise Explorer ProjectWise Explorer is the main client interface for ProjectWise, from which users can search for, check out, open, modify, and otherwise manage their ProjectWise documents. ProjectWise Explorer requires a connection to a ProjectWise Design Integration Server for operation, and should be uninstalled and reinstalled anytime integrated applications are added or removed from the desktop.
Bentley DGN Navigator Control Bentley DGN Navigator Control is used to display a full-sized preview of the selected DGN or i-model in the Navigator tab of the Preview Pane in ProjectWise Explorer.
ProjectWise Deliverables Management connector for ProjectWise Explorer ProjectWise Deliverables Management connector for ProjectWise Explorer is the on-premise component for ProjectWise Deliverables Management, which is one of the ProjectWise 365 services. This on-premise component is also available as a separate download.

ProjectWise Plug-in for Bentley Web Services Gateway

Bentley Web Services Gateway and the ProjectWise Plug-in are used together to provide users of Bentley mobile and web-based applications (for example, ProjectWise Web and ProjectWise Web View) access to ProjectWise datasources.

Bentley Web Services Gateway and the ProjectWise Plug-in are each a separate download.
