From the Spatial View Editor, the Component Symbology section contains controls for setting the symbology of components.

To change the default symbology, edit the Line Color, Line Weight, Fill Color, Transparency, Symbol and Tooltip Attribute.

To create a thematic symbolization based on component classes, click the Edit button next to the Thematic Symbolization item and select Discrete Values.
