Operating Systems

Unless noted, all ProjectWise servers and clients are supported on these 64-bit server operating systems:

• Windows Server 2022, Standard and Datacenter Editions

Unless noted, all ProjectWise client applications are supported on these 64-bit client operating systems:

• Windows 11
• Windows 10

CONNECTION Client Requirements

All ProjectWise installers will automatically install the CONNECTION Client if it is not already installed.

The CONNECTION Client is required for product activation, usage reporting, and Subscription Entitlement Service (SES) licensing.

The CONNECTION Client requires unrestricted access to *.bentley.com and *.signalr.net for ports 80 and 443.

ProjectWise Explorer Requirements

• 1 GHz x64 processor or better
• 1 GB of RAM minimum, additional RAM recommended for adequate streaming of point cloud and raster references
• 1.1 GB of free hard disk space for installation, additional space for the working directory (depending on the number and size of files) if the user's working directory will be on this computer
• 64-bit Windows server or client operating system:
  • Windows Server 2022, Standard and Datacenter Editions
  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10
• Windows networking configured for the TCP/IP protocol (IPv4 or IPv6)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6 or later
• Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - for Microsoft Office integration
• DirectX 9.0c or later - to install the VPR viewer and the Spatial Extension
• Microsoft Excel - for ProjectWise Export/Import Tool
• (Optional) A supported application (see list of applications below)
• Revit integration requirements (if using these advanced integration features):
  • eTransmit for Revit
  • i-model Plug-in for Revit
  • a PDF printer:
    • Advanced integration with Revit 2022 and later, PDF publishing is certified with the Revit native REVIT PDF Printer. Other PDF Export programs may be compatible but are no longer tested.
• Requires a license
