Creating Renditions
You can create a new rendition (PDF, JPEG, TIFF, or CALS) from any DGN, DWG, Word, Excel, PDF, raster image, or InterPlot Plot Set (IPS) file in the datasource.
- In the document list,
select any combination of documents, document sets, folders, and work areas, or
any items in the results of a saved search, then select

.When a document set, folder, or work area is selected, all documents contained in those items will be processed.
- In the
Create rendition dialog, select a
rendition profile from the
Profile list, change any other settings as
needed, and click
Submit.
Rendition profiles contain all of the necessary processing instructions for creating renditions, including where the new renditions will be stored and whether source documents will also be distributed when the renditions are created.. When you select a profile, default settings (profile components) are applied. Click More if you want to see all of the settings.
If a particular setting has multiple options, or if a setting does not have a default, you can change the default setting as needed. You can also turn on Send e-mail notification on completion if you want an email to be sent to you when the renditions have been created.
When you click Submit, all of the selected documents, along with the processing instructions (the selected rendition settings) will be sent to the server for processing.
Click the View Active Jobs button on the Create Renditions dialog to open the Active Jobs window, which shows all jobs that are currently running on the server, regardless of which user created them, or which interface they were created from. If needed you can right-click and pause it or stop it. (Ability for a user to pause or stop jobs is set by the administrator in Orchestration Framework Administrator.)
Active jobs are sorted first by type (ProjectWise Explorer-submitted jobs are listed above jobs created in Orchestration Framework Administrator), then by start time.
Once a job is finished it is automatically removed from the window the next time the window refreshes (the window automatically refreshes every 5 seconds).
