Advanced searches are the searches which are created and run
from either the
Search by Form dialog or
Define Search dialog. You can perform
the same searches from the
Search by Form and
Define Search dialogs that you can from
the
Quick Search field. In addition, advanced searches
let you search by:
- any general document
property
- any file property (if file
properties have been extracted)
- any
work area type (Define Search dialog only)
- any spatial location and/or
the source of the spatial location. (Note that these are two separate
criterion.)
Note: If the underlying
database is SQL Server, then searches from these dialogs are not case
sensitive. If the underlying database is Oracle, then searches run from these
dialogs will be case sensitive, unless your administrator has turned on the
datasource setting,
Force
case-insensitive search.
