To Copy Attributes from One Document to Another

You can copy and paste a document's environment attribute values to another document or documents, assuming the source and destination documents share the same environment.

  1. Select a document that has some attribute values defined.
  2. Select Document > Attributes > Copy Attributes.

All of the document's currently defined attribute values are copied to ProjectWise's internal clipboard.

  3. Select one or more documents in the same environment to which you want to paste the attribute values.
  4. Select Document > Attributes > Paste Attributes.
  5. Do one of the following:

If none of the selected documents have attribute values defined yet, the attribute values from the source document are copied to the selected documents.

    or

If any of the selected documents has existing attribute values defined, the message appears: "Do you want to overwrite existing attributes?" Click Yes or Yes to All, accordingly, to finish copying the attributes.

Note: If only a Yes and No button are on this message, then only one of the selected documents has existing attribute values defined. If a Yes and Yes to All button are on this message, then more than one of the selected documents has existing attribute values defined. You can click Yes to All to copy the attribute values to all of the selected documents at once, or you can click Yes to copy the attribute values to each document, one at a time.
