Browsing Work Areas and Folders

Once logged in, use the datasource list to browse the folder structure of your datasource. Selecting a work area or folder in the datasource list displays its contents in the document list.

The plus ("+") symbol next to a work area or folder in the datasource list indicates that it contains work areas and/or folders. Expanding a work area or folder in the datasource list (whether by double-clicking it, or by clicking the plus ("+") symbol next to it) will display, under it in the datasource list, any work areas or folders that exist at its root.

Displaying Work Areas and Folders in the Document List

The document list displays all documents that exist at the root of the work area or folder selected in the datasource list. If your Document List > Show subfolders user setting is on, the document list also displays all work areas and folders that exist at the root of the work area or folder selected in the datasource list.

You can open any work area or folder that is displayed in the document list by double-clicking it, or by selecting it and then selecting Folder > Open.

Opening a Work Area or Folder in a New Window

You can also open the selected work area or folder in its own window by selecting Folder > Open in New Window.

A new document list window opens, displaying the contents of the selected work area or folder.

This window will open in front of the ProjectWise Explorer window.
