Opens the selected document in its associated application. If the selected document is the master document of a logical set, then prior to the document opening in its associated application, the Select Reference Documents dialog opens for you to select which references you want to download to your working directory along with the master document.

If you have File Read and File Write privileges for the selected document, the document is both checked out (if not already checked out) and opened for editing.

If you have File Read but not File Write privileges for the selected document, the document is opened as read-only.
Note: For security reasons, you cannot use to launch an executable file (
.EXE). However, if necessary you can check out or export the file and then manually launch the executable.
