Setting the Number of Quick Searches to Keep in History

On the General tab of the Quick Search Settings dialog you can set the number of Quick Searches you want to keep in search history. These searches are available for reuse by selecting the down arrow on the Search toolbar. You can also clear the list of previously run searches.

To Set How Many Quick Searches to Keep in History

  1. In the Search toolbar, click the Quick Search Settings icon inside the Search toolbar and select Settings.
  2. When the Quick Search Settings dialog opens, select the General tab.
  3. Change the number of searches you want to keep.

    The default number of searches to be kept is set to 100, and the maximum number of searches you can keep is 999.

  4. Click OK.

To Clear the Search Toolbar's List of Previously Run Quick Searches

  1. In the Search toolbar, click the Quick Search Settings icon inside the Search toolbar and select Settings.
  2. When the Quick Search Settings dialog opens, select the General tab.
  3. Click Clear History.
  4. Click OK.

If you now go to the Search toolbar and click the down arrow, the list will be blank.
