On the General tab of the Quick Search Settings dialog you can set whether you want quick searches to search the entire datasource or only the currently selected folder or work area and its subfolders. By default, quick searches are set to search in only the currently selected folder or work area and its subfolders.

1. In the Search toolbar, click the Quick Search Settings icon inside the Search toolbar and select Settings.
2. When the Quick Search Settings dialog opens, select the General tab.
3. To set Quick Search to search the entire datasource, select Search in datasource.

   or

   To restrict Quick Search to only search in the currently selected folder, select Search in current folder and subfolders.

4. Click OK.
