Customize Report Dialog

Used to define custom filters, select sorting and grouping options, column layout, and actions to be included in the audit trail report. Opens when you click the Customize button on the Audit Trail tab of the Folder Properties dialog.

If you run an audit trail report using the current selection criteria, either the default or last used options are provided.

Actions tab
  • Show all actions — All actions for the selected folders are shown on the report.
  • Action — Lists the actions that can be included in the generated reports.
  • OK — Creates the report criteria and closes the Customize Report dialog.
  • Cancel — Closes the Customize Report dialog without saving any changes or creating a report.
Users tab If the See audit trail of other users access right is not assigned to your user name, this tab is disabled. The user list will contain only your user name.
  • Show all users — If on, includes the actions of all users in the report.
  • Selected Users — Lists the users whose actions will be shown in the report.
  • Add — Used to add additional users to the list.
  • Remove — Removes a selected user from the list.
Date tab
  • Period — Filters actions by action date. The selections include Anytime (no filter); Custom, which is used to specify a user-defined filter such as start date and end date; Yesterday; In the last 7 days; Last week; This week; Last month; This month.
  • Custom Date — Used in conjunction with Period if custom is selected.
  • Specify start date — Used to filter actions either between a start and end date range or only after the specified start date.
  • start time — Used to further define the start date.
  • Specify end date — Used to filter actions either between a start and end date range or only before the specified end date.
  • end time — Used to further define the end date.
Output Columns tab
  • Columns to show in report — Lists the names of the columns that will be shown in the report.
  • Up arrow — Moves the selected column name up one row.
  • Down arrow — Moves the selected column name down one row.
  • Right arrow — Moves the selected column name from the left pane (show in report) to the right pane (exclude from report).
  • Left arrow — Moves the selected column name from the right pane (exclude from report) to the left pane (show in report).
  • Open report in new window — The report will be displayed in a new window.
Sorting and Grouping tab
  • Separate groups by criteria — Used in conjunction with the Group criteria list and the Sort by option. Inserts a blank line between each group.
  • Group criteria list — Used in conjunction with Separate groups by criteria and the Sort by option. If Separate groups by criteria is on, the list contains both <none> and the criteria selected in Sort by.
  • Sort by — Actions are sorted by the criteria selected in this list. Used in conjunction with the Ascending option.
  • Ascending — If on, sorts the actions in ascending order.
  • Then by — Actions are first sorted by the criteria selected in the Sort by list. They are sorted a second time by the criteria selected in this list. For example, Sort by\Then by order.
  • Ascending — If on, sorts the actions in ascending order.
