Viewing Properties of Blocks in the Dependencies Tab

The following table describes the available controls and fields in the Properties tab, when the Current side-tab is selected.

Description

Accept / Discard

(disabled for document dependency maps, only applies to custom dependency maps)

Auto Update

(disabled for document dependency maps, only applies to custom dependency maps)

Revision

Shows the number of revisions that have been made to the selected block itself (not the number of revisions made to the corresponding document). This number is always set to 0 on a document dependency map, since the blocks in a document dependency map are not editable.

Block Type

Shows the type of object the selected block represents. Possible types are document, link set, or model.

Modified Time

(disabled for document dependency maps, only applies to custom dependency maps)

Modified By

(disabled for document dependency maps, only applies to custom dependency maps)

Name

The name of the selected block. The name of the block corresponds to the name of the related document or model.

Linked to

The document in ProjectWise that is linked to the selected block. You can click the icon next to the Linked to field to open the linked document in its associated application. Placing the cursor over this icon also displays the name of the linked document.

Break Link

(disabled for document dependency maps, only applies to custom dependency maps)

Content

This field is where the related document’s or model’s description displays, if it has one. You can use the style and font controls to adjust the display of the text in the Content field. The style and font settings remain applied for as long as the Properties tab remains open. If you close the tab, select another block, then reopen the tab, the text in the Content field is restored to the default style and font.
