To Create a New Version of a Master Document and Its References

  1. Select a master document and select Document > Set > Show References.

  2. In the set contents window, select the master document and all references under it, then right-click and select New > Version.

    The Define Version Rules dialog opens.

  3. In the Version string format field:

    Accept the default value.


    Click the Format button (...) to define the format string.

    The Version string format field may be pre-configured in user settings. See the related link below for details.

  4. (Optional) Click Preview To see which documents will be affected by the version format string.

  5. Click OK.

    New versions are created, one for the master document, and one for each of the selected references.
