To Create a New Central File in ProjectWise

  1. Create a new or select an existing project file.
  2. Enable worksharing in the file.
  3. From the Application menu, select Save As > Project.

    ProjectWise's Save Document As dialog opens. A description for the document is optional, but the document must have a name and a file name, and that name and file name must be unique in the folder in which you select to save the document.

  4. Save the central file to a folder in ProjectWise.

    It is recommended that you keep your central files in a folder designated for central files only.

  5. Check in the original project file when prompted.
