ProjectWise Deliverables Management Portal Help

Changing the Primary Work Area

In ProjectWise Explorer you can associate more than one work area to the same ProjectWise project.

If ProjectWise Deliverables Management is turned on in the ProjectWise project to which multiple work areas are associated, then the first work area that was associated to the ProjectWise project will be considered the primary work area (the work area you can do Deliverables Management work in), and the other, secondary work areas will only provide read-only access to outgoing and incoming deliverables in the ProjectWise project.

If you are the administrator, you can make a secondary work area the primary work area (which in turn makes the current primary work area a secondary work area).

  1. In ProjectWise Explorer, right-click the Deliverables Management node in one of the secondary work areas and select Settings.

The Deliverables Management Settings dialog opens with a notice across the top, stating that this work area is not the primary work area.

  2. Click the link in the message.

Another dialog opens, asking if you want to remove access or continue to provide portal-only access for the selected users.

  3. Select an option and click OK.

The work area is now the primary work area.

  4. Click Go to settings to open the Deliverables Management Settings dialog now, or click Close if you want to review or configure settings later.
