To Manually Import Attachments to Transmittal Responses into the Work Area (ProjectWise Explorer)

As long as an import storage location is defined, copies of files attached to incoming transmittal responses are automatically imported into the work area and scanned for references when you open the transmittal from ProjectWise Explorer. If you have received new responses (with attachments) since the last time response attachments were imported, all new response attachments will be automatically imported upon opening the transmittal.

There is no import storage location defined by default for incoming response attachments for confidential transmittals, therefore if you do not define this location in the settings, there will be no automatic import of these documents.

Use the following steps if you need to manually import incoming response attachments.

Expand the Deliverables Management node under your associated work area.
Expand the Outgoing folder and select the Transmittals folder.
Open a transmittal that has at least one response with an attachment.
Select the Responses tab and click Import responses.
As long as an import storage location is defined, a copy of each file that is attached to the response is imported into the designated subfolder for transmittal responses in the work area.

Note: If this is a confidential transmittal, but no import storage location is defined for confidential transmittal responses, you will be prompted to select the import folder.
