The attribute exchange feature of ProjectWise lets you link text fields in Word and Excel documents with ProjectWise properties.

The Microsoft Office Attribute Support node lists all of the attribute classes for Microsoft Word and Excel attribute exchange that exist in the datasource. Right-click the Microsoft Office Attribute Support node and select:

• New > Attribute Class — to manually create the BuiltinProperties and CustProperties attribute classes required for Microsoft Word and Excel attribute exchange (note, this is only required if you choose not to import the Example Attribute Exchange Rules.ini file, which imports these two attribute classes already configured).
• Properties — to set up when linked attributes in Word and Excel documents will get updated.
• Export Mapping — to export the Microsoft Word and Excel attribute mappings of this datasource to an *.INI file, to be imported into another datasource.
