Spatial View Editor Dialog

Contains controls to define the appearance (symbology) of spatial locations.

General Settings

SettingDescription
Define symbology for

Displays the name of the view which will display in the Symbology Legend in ProjectWise Explorer.

Show Tooltips

Used to control the display of tooltips and highlight color.

Documents Symbology

This symbology is used to display the spatial locations of documents.

SettingDescription
Color Opens the Color dialog, which is used to select the outline color of the geometry used to represent a spatial location.
Weight Used to specify the outline weight of the geometry used to represent a spatial location.
Fill Color Opens the Color dialog, which is used to select the color that fills the geometry used to represent a spatial location.
Fill Color Transparency Used to set the degree of transparency for the fill color. Transparency may vary from 0% to 100%, with a value of 0% indicating no transparency at all, while a value of 100% indicates complete transparency in the selected color.
Points Used to select which type of icons to display, Windows or ProjectWise. When Windows Icon is selected and you click Select Pins, a dialog opens for you to select the Windows icon to display. When ProjectWise Icon is selected and you click Select Pins, a dialog opens for you to select the ProjectWise icon to display.
Tooltips Contains controls to optionally display tooltips in the Spatial Navigator when placing your pointer over Spatial Locations.
Tooltips Attributes Determines the text that will display in the tooltip. For documents, the following attributes are available:
  • Date Created - Used to display the date the document was created in the tooltip.
  • Date Updated - Used to display the date the document was last updated in the tooltip.
  • Description - Used to display the document's description in the tooltip.
  • File Name - Used to display the document's file name in the tooltip.
  • File Revision - Used to display the file revision in the tooltip.
  • File Updated - Used to display the date the file was last updated in the tooltip.
  • MIME Type - Used to display the file's MIME type in the tooltip.
  • Name - Used to display the name in the tooltip.
  • Node - Used to display the node namein the tooltip.
  • Status - Used to display the document's status (such as checked in or checked out) in the tooltip.
  • Version - Used to display the document's version identifier label in the tooltip.
Show application icon in tooltip Toggle on to display the icons at the left of the tooltip text. This option is only available for the default document symbology. This is the same icon that is displayed in the document list.
Show status icon Toggle on to display the icons. This option is only available for the default document symbology. This is the same icon that is displayed in the document list.

Folders Symbology

This symbology is used to display the spatial location of the current folder. Except where noted, the controls on this tab are the same as those on the Documents Symbology tab.

Tooltips

The following attributes are available under Tooltips:

  • Project Code - Used to display the project code in the tooltip.
  • Project Creation Time - Used to display the creation time in the tooltip.
  • Project Description - Used to display the project description in the tooltip.
  • Project Name - Used to display the project name in the tooltip.
  • Project Update Time - Used to display the project update time in the tooltip.
  • Project Version String - Used to display the project version string in the tooltip.

SubFolders Symbology

This symbology is used to display the spatial locations of subfolders. The controls on this tab are the same as those on the Folders Symbology tab.
