To Give the Entire Restricted Administrator Group Access to a Node, Then Give One User in the Group No Access to That Node

  1. Right-click any node in the datasource and select Properties.

    The selected node's Properties dialog opens.

  2. Select the Granular Security tab.
  3. Click Add.

    The Select Security Objects dialog opens.

  4. Select the Restricted Administrator group, and also select a user who is a member of the Restricted Administrator group, and click OK.
  5. Select the Restricted Administrator group in the Users list, then in the Permissions list give them some level of access to the node (anything except No access).
  6. Now select the user in the Users list, then in the Permissions list, turn on No access.
  7. Click OK.

    The next time that user logs in to the datasource in ProjectWise Administrator, they will not see this node, however the rest of the users in the Restricted Administrator group will.
