To Give a Restricted Administrator Partial Access to a Particular Node in ProjectWise Administrator

  1. Right-click any node in the datasource and select Properties.

    The selected node's Properties dialog opens.

  2. Select the Granular Security tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the Select Security Objects dialog, select a user who is a member of the Restricted Administrator group, and click OK.
  5. Once added, select the user from the Users list, then in the Permissions list, turn on Change Settings, and turn OFF Change Permissions.

    When Change Settings and Change Permissions are both on, this is effectively the same as having Full control turned on.

  6. Click OK.

    The next time that user logs in to the datasource in ProjectWise Administrator, they will see this node, and they will be able to create, modify, and/or delete items in it, but they will not be able to set security on the node.
