You create datasources in ProjectWise Administrator. Each datasource you create must have its own database in SQL Server or Oracle. Creating multiple datasources that use a single database is not supported.

Creating a datasource will add the necessary ProjectWise database tables to the supporting database.

After creating the datasource you can:

• set up your datasource from scratch
• import data from a previously exported datasource
• import the delivered example datasource template

The ProjectWise Administrator installer delivers an extensive example template, which you can use as a quick and easy way to set up a datasource and become familiar with the new features of this version before setting up your own production datasource.
