ProjectWise Administrator Help

Adding Servers to the Trusted Servers List

Whenever you install Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF, Bentley Automation Service, or ProjectWise Web Server, you also need to add the IP addresses of the computers on which those applications are installed to the ProjectWise Design Integration Server's Trusted Servers list in the DMSKRNL.CFG file (C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProjectWise\Bin), so that the Integration Server knows that requests coming from those servers are coming from a trusted source. You can add the specific IP address of the computer on which the application is installed, or you can specify a range of IP addresses that the computer falls within.

Note: ProjectWise Web Server is no longer delivered, but this step is necessary if you are still using V8i (SELECTseries 4) Web Server.

For example:

[Trusted Servers]
Bentley i-model Composition Server for PDF=192.168.100.0   255.255.255.0
Bentley Automation Service=190.150.111.12
Bentley Automation Service Administrator=191.145.289.14
ProjectWise Web Server V8i SS4=186.215.205.19

The name before the = can be any name you choose.

The number after the = is the IP address of the computer on which the application is installed.

The number after the IP address (with a space in between) is the optional subnet mask, if you are specifying a range of IP addresses.

Note: If you install the server's administrative application (for example, iCS for PDF Administrator) on a different computer, make sure that computer is also included in the Trusted Servers list.
