Dimensions
|
- Gap – Sets the
gap between the end of connect shape and the flange of support shape in the
direction of the connect shape selected. A positive value determines the gap. A
negative value is to be read as its absolute value. The default is 10 or 0.4
depending on the units setting.
- Plate
Thickness – Sets the End Plate thickness. A positive value
determines the thickness. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value.
The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
- Flange
Thickness – Sets the Flange Plate thickness. A positive value
determines the thickness. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value.
A zero value will use the flange thickness of the connect shape as the
thickness. The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
- Web
Thickness – Sets the Web Plate thickness. A positive value
determines the thickness. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value.
A zero value will use the web thickness of the connect shape as the thickness.
The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
- Height
Offset – Sets the offset of the End Plate to the upper and lower
flanges of the connect shape. A positive value increases the height while a
negative value decreases the height. The default is 10 or 0.4 depending on the
units setting.
- Joint
Length – Sets the joint or overlap length of the Flange Plate to
the connect shape. This is only valid when Weld Plate and Bolt Flange are
selected as connect type. A positive value determines the length. A negative
value is to be read as its absolute value. A zero value is not permitted. The
default is 200 or 8 depending on the units setting.
- Flange
Distance – Sets the offset of the Web Plate to the inner sides of
the upper flange and the lower flange of the connect shape. This is only valid
when the Bolt Flange is selected as connect type. A positive value determines
the length. A negative value is to be read as its absolute value. The default
is 10 or 0.4 depending on the units setting.
- Cut
Radius – Sets the round radius of the corner of the Web Plate. This
is only valid when the Bolt Flange is selected as connect type. A positive
value determines the radius. A negative value is to be read as its absolute
value. The default is 5 or 0.2 depending on the units setting.

Options
|
-
Group – When checked, the selected shape, plate and other created
objects are arranged to form a group. If the selected shape is already part of
an existing group then the created objects are added to that group.
- With
Bolts – Enabled for
Group. When checked, the bolts are added to
that group.
- Check
Flat File – When checked, creates plate by using flat type shape.
- Tolerance –
Sets the tolerance of the plate size to the size of the flat shape from the
shape database for determining whether or not the plate can be created by using
flat shape. A positive value determines the tolerance. A negative value is to
be read as its absolute value. The default is 1 or 0.04 depending on the units
setting.
