Splice connection tools create web and/or flange plate joints between shapes. Both shapes must be in alignment along the surfaces to be connected. If you do not select a second shape, the plates are attached to the end of the first shape. After you complete the specifications in the settings dialog, the shape to be connected is cut to fit. The application automatically includes all drill holes and bolt connections while creating the connection.
