Working with dynamic bracing

Dynamic bracing is different from connections. This structural object must be edited in a different way.

To Add:

To add dynamic bracing members to your model, use the following steps.

The braced members and a centerline —drawing using a smartline— of at least one brace member must be present in order to define dynamic bracing.
  1. Select (Dynamic Bracing).
  2. Select the line of action (center line) of the bracing.
  3. Select the first main part (member) to connect the brace to.
  4. Select the second main part (member) to connect the brace to. The Bracing dialog opens.
  5. Select the Bracing Type on the Common tab.
  6. Complete the bracing parameters in the dialog as necessary.
  7. Click .

To Edit:

The Dynamic bracing is a structural objects. It does not work using logical links.

When seen in shaded mode, where the "Struct Object in Shade" option (in Global Settings > Options > Display tab) is activated.

After settings the option and regenerating the drawing the structural object appear.

  • You can edit the dynamic bracing by double clicking the structural (yellow) object. The Bracing property dialog opens.
  • The right-click > Delete Connection would open the confirmation dialog.
  • Confirming delete would remove connection.
  • Selecting cancel would however retain the structural object.
