Standard Stair - Steps Configuration tab

Setting	Description
Step Type	Sets the selected step builder type method: Shape Steps Standard Steps Cell Steps Inter Linked Pan Steps Filled Pan Steps Folded Plate Steps The settings vary for currently selected step type.
Step Type - Shape Steps	Selects a steel shape and sets how it is inserted at each step. Step Shape Size – Displays the defined shape for the specified step member. (Select Shape tool) – Opens the Shape Selection dialog, used to select a catalog shape from a list of standard shapes and sizes. Insert Point – Sets one of the cross section insertion points by which the shape will be aligned. Rotation – Rotates the shape in selected angle (at ±90° increments). Mirror – When checked, the shape position is mirrored about it's long axis.
Step Type - Standard Steps	Defines a standard shape support. Flatbar – When checked, sets a flatbar tread instead of a grating tread. Flatbar Size – Displays the defined shape for the step member. Enabled for flatbar. (Select Shape tool) – Opens the Shape Selection dialog, used to select a catalog shape from a list of standard shapes and sizes. Bolt – When checked, include a bolt in the end connections. Bolt Type – Sets the bolt type selected from the drop-down list of all bolts loaded in ProStructures Filp Left/Right – When checked, the respective option flips the placement either left or right end bolts, respectively. Work Loose – Sets the clearance between bolt diameter and hole diameter. Standard Steps Dimensions and Offsets – Sets the dimensions marked 1 to 14, as shown in the illustration in the preview pan. Step Type - Cell Steps	You can create custom treads using ProStructures objects in a separate file and subsequently assign it to the active stair. You should specify bolt style and workloose (when applicable) as well as the path and file name. Custom treads automatically adjust to stair widths. Select a bolt connection and the a cell file to use reference. Bolt – When checked, specify a bolt cell step. Bolt Type – Sets the bolt type selected from the drop-down list of all bolts loaded in ProStructures Filp Left/Right – When checked, the respective option flips the placement either left or right end bolts, respectively. Workloose – Sets the clearance between bolt diameter and hole diameter. cell Path – Sets the directory path for the user-defined cells for the step. The folder icon navigates further to a folder selection for the cell definitions. User Part File – Displays the current cell filename within the folder selected in cell Path containing the cell you want to use as the step.
Step Type - Inter Linked Pan Steps	This option provides the ability to use parametric interlinked folded plate treads (both filled and not filled), when using the filled option only the filling space is provided. Separate set of parameters are provided to control the first, last and intermediate treads. Interlinked Pan Type – Sets the pan type for interlinked pan steps . Filled Pan – when checked, enables the Front Lip options and Pan Fill Thickness. Pan – when checked, enables Top Fold length. Front Lip Optoin – Options to set lip turn for Filled Pan. Turn Up – Lip turn up. Turn Down – Lip turn down. Interlinked pan Steps Dimensions and Offsets – Sets the dimensions marked 1 to 9, as shown in the illustration in the preview pan. Filled Pan Steps Dimensions and Offsets – Sets the dimensions marked 1 to 4, as shown in the illustration in the preview pan. Vertical Tilt Angle Plate Thickness Pan Fill Thickness Back Lip Length Add step checkbox – When checked, adds step back lip. Front Lip Length Add step checkbox – When checked, adds step front lip.
