To place a parametric handrail using the Standard Handrail tool, use the following procedure.

1. Select (Standard Handrails).
2. Click on one or more elements on which you want to place the handrail:

   Shapes - The sequence of selecting the supporting shapes and the selection points on those shapes influences the resulting handrail configuration.

   or

   Line - Select a Line element to place a single handrail along it.

   

   or

   SmartLine - Select a Line element to place a single handrail along it.

   

3. Click anywhere in the model window (away from model objects) to accept the selection set.
   The Standard Handrail dialog opens.
4. Do either of the following:

   specify parameters to define handrail

   or

   load a template

5. Click (OK). The dialog closes and adds the handrail to your model.
