Used to create general construction lines or measure distances in model.

• Ribbon: Steel > Home > Primitives > Construction Lines

The application offers several options to create construction lines, divide distances evenly or measure distances which all serve as design and constructional aids. These lines are created on their own level (the default is PS_CONST), so that all of them can be jointly hidden or deleted.

Dialog Controls

Setting	Description
Favorites	Current Settings - Select when you haven't created any template and you want to use the current settings of the dialog instead. Bentley/Default - Select when you want to use the application default settings template and you don't want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
OK	Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel	Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help	Opens online help.
Template	Saves and retrieve (Using Templates) settings to be used on other projects.
Delete All	Deletes all construction lines created up to now on the layer where they are created.
New Line	A 3D distance is measured and displayed in different variations. Starting and end point have to be picked.
Continue Line	A 3D distance is measured and displayed in different variations. The end point of the previous measuring is used as starting point of the current measuring.
Show /Hide Preview	Opens or closes, respectively, a flyout panel to display an illustration based on the tool.
