| Reset Legend |
Resets the style to default display settings. If this icon is dimmed, it means that the legend is in dynamic mode and will automatically update to match the display settings. When you change any setting in the list box, this icon is enabled. Now if you click the icon, the legend is recalculated from the display settings and the icon is dimmed. |
| Place a copy of thematic legend as a persistent element |
Places the legend as an element. When you select the Thematic Legend element type, the legends created using this tool are automatically selected.

| Order |
Sets the order in which the legends are be displayed. This can be set to either ascending or descending. |
| Margin Color |
Sets the color used for the values that are outside the display range. |
| Values From |
Sets the method for calculating the values used for the legend. The values can be calculated either in steps or counts. |
| Transparency (0–100) |
Sets the transparency of the legend. Zero equates to a completely opaque legend, while 100 equates to completely transparent legend. |
| List box |
Displays following settings in the list box:
- Index — Displays the index of the each legend entry. You cannot edit this setting.
- Color — Displays the color of each legend entry. When you select a legend and click on its color, the Modify Color dialog opens. You can change the color from this dialog.
- Minimum and Maximum — The start and end value of each legend entry respectively. Click on each value to edit it. The maximum value of each entry is connected to the minimum value of the next legend entry, and vice-versa. The values are also restricted by the order, for example, if the legend order is set Ascending, then each value must be greater than or equal to the previous legend entry. If you edit the first and last legend entry values, the display range will be overridden by these values.
- Visible — Controls whether the individual bars on legend and stepped display are visible. In Fast stepped display mode, the hidden bars are rendered as transparent, whereas in the Accurate and Isolines modes the hidden bars are not rendered.
