Photometric Flag

Controls whether bitmap background pixels are displayed in white or black. The setting is relevant only when you use a monochrome compression type.

Note: Raster editors interpret the 0 and 1 values differently. Your raster editor may interpret 0 as white and 1 as black, and another editor may interpret them the opposite way.
