Used to set compatibility for dimensions and multi-lines with versions of MicroStation prior to Version 4.0 or IGDS, neither of which can display these element types. It controls the following:

• Whether dimensions are placed as "Dimension Elements" or IGDS-compatible primitive elements. Dimensions placed as IGDS-compatible primitive elements cannot be associated with any other element, will not automatically change if the element they dimension is changed, and must be modified manually.
• Whether multi-lines are placed as multi-line elements or IGDS-compatible primitive Multi-lines placed as IGDS-compatible primitive elements consist of separate parallel line elements with line elements and arc elements as joints and endcaps. These elements will not automatically change if the elements with which they are associated are changed and must be modified manually.
