The following example illustrates the connections between the segments and their dependencies.

• The base plate, or initial flat plate is labeled with (1).
• Segment (2) is added to the base plate (1) using a bending angle of 45°.
• Segment (4) is added to segment (2) also using a bending angle of 45°, but in addition it is equipped with a front and rear (positive) distance to the edge.
• Segment (3) is added to the base plate (1) with a bending angle of 90°.
