Drill

Used to create holes for bolted connections manually, with a variety of parametric features such as countersinking, threads, step borings, and oblong shapes.

Accessed from:

Ribbon: Steel > Home > Edit Steel Elements > Drill
PS Properties: Modification > Holes tab > Edit Bolting tool icon

Dialog Controls

Setting	Description
OK	Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel	Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help	Opens online help.
Template	Saves and retrieve (Using Templates) settings to be used on other projects.
Enable editing hole diameter	It allows you to edit he diameter table (pro_st3d.hdt). Enabled if Dialog settings > Expert Mode > Expert is set in the global settings, i.e. Options dialog.
Favorites	Current Settings - Select when you haven't created any template and you want to use the current settings of the dialog instead. Bentley/Default - Select when you want to use the application default settings template and you don't want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
