Layout and position
|
Sets the type of the post that defines how the
handrail is fastened. The settings on the dialog vary based on current type
selected.
- None – No
fastening will be provided
- Vertical – The
plates will be perpendicular to the post (base plates)
- By
Side – The plates or bent connections will be welded to the outside
of the post.
|
Outside
|
When checked, lateral connecting plates will be
welded on the other side of the posts. This option is enabled only for
By Side layout.
|
Layout of Plate
|
Sets the creation type for the connection plates.
Indicates how the lateral connection plates have to be executed. This option is
enabled only for
By Side layout.
- Complete
Plate – All plates are created with the
complete dimensions.
- Cut
Outside – The plates at the two
outside posts are cut at the outside to be
flush with the support.
- Only
Right Side – All plates are cut on the
left side to be flush with the supports.
- Only
Left Side – All plates are cut on the
right side to be flush with the supports.
Side offset – Sets the cut for un-required side of the plate. In case of plates
which are cut to be flush (projection= 0) you can indicate a projection beyond
the edges of the supports here and thus modify the plate size. Negative values
will reduce the size of projection towards the inside. This option is only
available for lateral connections. This option is unavailable for
Complete Plate
layout.
|
As Poly-plate
|
When checked, creates a poly-plate instead of a flat
steel.
|
Turn by 90°
|
When checked, rotates the base plates by 90°. This
option is enabled only for
Vertical layout.
|
Data for Oblique
|
When checked, specifies the settings for connections
in the oblique plane. You can specify other dimensions for diagonal handrail
segments e.g. at a stringer. This option is enabled only for
Vertical layout.
|
Plate Width
|
Sets the width of the connecting plates.
|
Plate Length
|
Sets the length (height) of the connecting plates.
|
Plate Thickness
|
Sets the thickness of the connecting plates.
|
Hole Dia
|
Sets the diameter and axis distance of fastening
holes. The first field sets the diameter for connection drill and the second
field the slotted hole axis distance of the fasten holes.
- Turn
slotted holes by 90 deg – When checked, rotates the base plates by
90°. This option appears only for
By Side layout.
|
w (horizontal)
|
Sets the longitudinal axis distance of fastening
holes.
|
w (vertical)
|
Sets the vertical distance of fastening holes in wide
direction, for lateral connecting plates. You can thus create a plate with four
holes. If you enter the value 0, only two holes are created.
|
Galv Hole Dia
|
Sets the diameter of an additional zinc outlet hole
(center position towards post axis). This option appears only for
Vertical layout.
|
Post/Plate Offset
|
Sets the plate offset value to the post.
This option appears only for
Vertical layout, and while
Data for Oblique is checked.
|
Copy connection plate
|
Copies the values from straight connection plate to
the oblique connection plate.
This option appears only for
Vertical layout, and while
Data for Oblique is checked.
|
Side Offset
|
Sets the distance of the connection plate from the
post. This option appears only for
By Side layout.
If you enter a value bigger than 0, a perpendicular
connecting plate will be inserted between plate and post. If you indicated an
‘Inlet Radius’ in addition, the additional plate will be omitted and the
connection will be made as bent post.
|
Start Radius
|
For non-zero offsets, the connection will be made as
bent post with perpendicularly welded plate. This option appears only for
By Side layout.
