Workflow Considerations
- All Rebar in ProStructures must belong to a concrete object – either a ProStructures parametric object or a promoted solid.
- The 3D Rebar (child) and the concrete object (parent) must be placed in the same DGN file.
- Rebar may protrude outside the extents of its parent concrete (even entirely outside) and may extend over multiple concrete objects.
- Concrete and Rebar objects both have their own levels, colors, line weights, etc.
- All drawing models with 2D symbolic rebar must be saved to the 3D DGN file containing the concrete and rebar objects. Tip: Uncheck the Filename option in the Create Drawing dialog to use 2D symbolic rebar in Dynamic Views.Drawing models with no 2D symbolic rebar (i.e., 3D only) may be sent to another file. However, all rebar labeling and dimensioning must be done manually using standard MicroStation commands using this option and is thus not the recommneded method.
