Bracing Type
|
Sets the type of bracing from drop-down options:
- Norm
Bracing
- Rod
Bracing
- Pipe
Bracing
Refer to the corresponding tabs for the selected type for
additional settings.
|
Engineering Layout
|
When checked, eliminates the cuts at supporting
ends while keeping the ones at intersection of shapes, with or without the
Divide All option (Shape Bracing).
|
With Cuts
|
Enabled when Engineering Layout is checked. When
checked, creates cuts at supporting ends and at intersection of shapes, with or
without the
Divide All option (Shape Bracing).
|
Plate Thickness
|
Sets the thickness of the gusset plate.
|
Edge distance to borderline
|
Sets the distance from the outermost edge of the
bracing bar to the boundary edge of the bracing (this is most often a shape
edge). The value specifies the minimum distance between borders or border
objects to the bracing rods.
|
Round shape length to
|
Sets the value to round off the length of the
bracing rod shape.
|
Plate Width Minimum
|
Sets the minimum gusset plate width at the shape.
|
Offset
|
Sets the distance that determines how far the gusset
plates would overlap the bracing rods sideway.
|
Depth accord. ACS
|
Sets the depth of the bracing according to the ACS
system.
|
Plate Top Offset
|
Sets the plate offset from the top.
|
Symmetrical
|
When checked, the bracing is designed in the form of
a cross stay and remains symmetrical if modified with its
handles. Otherwise, every bar can be
changed individually.
|
Dynamic
|
When checked, the bracing immediately depicts the
modifications made in the dialog. If you would like to modify many values, you
can deactivate this option for the time being.
|
Without connection plates
|
When checked, no gusset plates are created at the
supporting shapes.
|
Shape Type / Class / Size
|
Sets the shapes being utilized for the bracing bars.
Select the shape catalogue into the first selection
box, the shape type into the second, and the shape size into the third.
|
Gusset Position
|
Sets the position of the gusset plate in reference
to the bracing plane . The connection plate position can be specified at
Front edge,
Centered, and
Back edge.
|
Gusset Type
|
Sets the type of shape of the gusset plate.
Available form types are:
- Rectangular
- Triangular
Minimized
- Triangular
Symetrical
- Triangular
|
Opening Angle
|
Sets the opening angle of the gusset plate towards
the bracing bar at the shape 'Triangular'.
|
Cross Bracing
|
When checked, the bracing is designed in the shape
of a cross stay. Otherwise, only one bracing bar is added to the clicked on
system line.
|
Weld Bracing
|
When checked, the bracing is welded in its
entirety. No borings are added in that case.
|
Group
|
When checked, the individual bracing elements are
formed into groups.
|
Add Chamfer to Gusset Plates
|
Enables creating chamfers at outermost corners for
the gusset plates created by dynamic bracing connection. Chamfer options are
available for connection having gusset plates at brace rod edges where it meets
with support shape.
- Only at
Cutting Edges - when checked, the chamfers are added at boundary
edges of the gusset plate.
- Layout -
Selects the type of chamfer to be used:
Straight Chamfer,
Convex Chamfer, or
Concave Chamfer.
- Radius/1st edge
- Sets the radius at convex/concave version or the length of the first edge at
straight version.
- 2nd
edge - Sets the length of the second edge of the straight chamfer.
Note: The
Norm Bracing type bracings supports adding
chamfers to centered positioned gusset plate.
