Soil stratigraphy modelling

Input has improved the way soil layers are modeled. As an addition to the "Modify Soil Layers" window, the soil stratigraphy is now also available in the model explorer under "Stratigraphy". The "Boreholes" group is also moved there.

Girders in Tunnel Designer

New option in Tunnel Designer to define girders.

ClusterFieldStress

New option to assign different field stresses to different soil/rock clusters.

Blend surface

Added the blendsurface command to create a surface between two groups of surfaces .

Loft polycurves

Added the loft command to create a surface between two or more different cross-sections.

Manual input of interface stiffness through Kn/Ks option.

Force fully drained behaviour newly activated clusters

Added option 'Force fully drained behaviour newly activated clusters' for consolidation and fully coupled calculation type. To be consistent with 2D, the option will be checked by default.

Mesh improvement

Improvements to the application of local coarseness settings during meshing.

Check geometry

Checks in the checkgeometry command have been extended. In addition, it is now also possible to execute this command from the calculation modes.

Validate command for materials

To improve the support for scripting, material properties can now be set to an invalid state without getting an error message. A new validate command for materials was added which checks every property at once.

Snap surfaces and volumes

Support for snapping of surfaces and volumes.

Improved feedback when intersection fails, like returning the involved geometry.

Dynamic with Consolidation Calculation

A new calculation type has been implemented.

SoilTest scripting

Check on calculation conditions

New command for checking the calculation conditions. These conditions are now also checked when running the calculate command.

Interactive documentation for Python

Interactive documentation - Jupyter notebooks - for the Python scripting layer has been added.

ResultTypes

Commandline in Output now needs explicit "ResultTypes." prefix when accessing resulttypes; also in scripting.

Total discharge through interface

The total discharge through a cross section of an interface element is displayed below the plot in Output.

Arbitrary Cross section Curves

Output now supports arbitrary cross section curves.

Pre-calculation checks

Added several pre-calculation checks for dynamics calculations.

Mesher feedback

Added feedback from mesher when EMR analysis detects the need for small element size.
