There are two interface programs that control PlantWise, the Command Interpreter and the Design++ User Interface Server. These programs cannot be individually exited and only close when you have specifically requested to exit PlantWise

• The Command Interpreter (d++-dep.exe) runs in the background and is automatically minimized. You typically need not enter the Command Interpreter except for troubleshooting purposes (See Appendix F - Troubleshooting).
• Although a server program, the dpp-uis (for Design++ User Interface Server) cannot be accessed by the PlantWise user. However, the dppuis must be running for PlantWise to function as it provides some basic prompts to you. You can determine if the dpp-uis is operational by using the Windows Task Manager.
