Create Equipment Cell

Allows you to define a CAD cell that will be used to represent the equipment, and it creates a PlantWise equipment class and sets the Geometry Rules to use the cell. You should be familiar with creating cells in CAD before attempting to create equipment cells using the PlantWise capabilities.

Elements that are to be used for the cell can be selected using the normal CAD selection set or a fence. Once elements are selected and the cell origin is defined, clicking the Create Equipment Cell button opens the New Equipment Class dialog.

Setting	Description
Cell Name	Used as the cell name in the cell library. It must be a valid CAD cell name. The cell will be stored in the currently attached cell library and the full path of the library is saved as a part of the PlantWise Geometry Rules. If no cell library is attached or the attached cell library is read-only, the creation of the cell fails and the operation is canceled. If a cell already exists in the library with the specified name, you are prompted " if they want to replaced the existing cell definition".
Description	Used as the description of the cell in the cell library.
Class Name	Used for the PlantWise equipment class name. The class name is used in user interfaces, reports, and messages. The class name may contain space () characters.
Equipment Symbol	Used for the PlantWise equipment class symbol. The equipment symbol is used as an internal representation of the class and must be an alphanumeric string without space characters.
Detailed Obstacles	If this box is checked, scans the selected elements and the PlantWise Geometry Rules are written such that there is an obstacle box created for all of the 3D elements selected. If this box is not checked, then an overall obstacle box is written to the geometry rules. The overall box encloses all of the selected 3D elements. Delete Elements	If this box is checked, deletes the selected elements from the design file after the cell is created. If this box is not checked, the elements are not be deleted from the design file. Elements that are already associated with PlantWise are filtered out of the cell creation process WITH THE EXCEPTION of text elements. Care should be taken that existing PlantWise text elements are not part of the selection set.

Upon successful creation of the PlantWise equipment class, you are prompted to insert an instance of the class at the cell’s insertion point.

It is recommended to do so in order to verify the cell was created properly.

If the equipment class already exists in the PlantWise User Equipment Library, you are prompted "if the existing class should be replaced."
