The following attributes of pipelines may be used in the nozzle placement and vicinity routing languages. They may be referred to within a language expression by adding the prefix line. to the attribute name.

• fluid_phase_class is one of :vapor or :liquid
• suction_p indicates if this line has suction or gravity flow (true or false)
• to_pipeway_p indicates if this line goes to the pipeway (true or false)
• max_nominal_diameter is the user’s input diameter (in main units)
• max_outer_diameter is the outer diameter based on nominal diameter
• insulation_code is the insulation code entered by the user
• insulation_thickness is the insulation thickness computed by the system or entered by the user
• insulation_thickness is the insulation thickness computed by the system or entered by the user
• commodity_code is the commodity code entered by the user
• temperature_class is one of :hot or :cold based on the commodity code and the table data for commodities
• class is the line class entered by the user. To specify electrical cables, the line class is "electrical_cable"
• material is the material corresponding to the line class
