Reports

Although not required, you can attach a report to a v drawing either as a text file or by calculating any report available from the Report Writer.

There are three options for adding reports to a PlantDrafter drawing:
  • No Report,
  • Include Text File, and
  • Include Calculated Report.
The default option is to not attach a report to the drawing.

To attach a text file to a drawing:

  1. Toggle the Include Text File radio button.

  2. From the Report Placement combo box, select the Upper Right, Upper Left, Lower Right, or Lower Left of the drawing to place the report contents.
  3. In the Report File field enter the name of the file – including the full path.

    Browse for the desired text file.

Adding a Report Writer report to a PlantDrafter drawing

  1. Toggle the Include Calculated Report radio button.

  2. From the Report Placement combo box, select the Upper Right, Upper Left, Lower Right, or Lower Left of the drawing to place the report contents.
  3. Select the desired report from the Report Template drop down list.
To insure proper alignment, a fixed-width font needs to be in the sheet file
