OpenUtilities Substation Help

Bing Maps

Bing Maps is a web mapping service provided by Microsoft® Corporation. You can attach a layer from "Bing Maps" as a raster in the Raster Manager.

OpenUtilities Substation supports three types of Bing Maps layers - Road, Aerial and Aerial with labels. These options can be selected from the Bing Maps Layers pane in the Raster Attachment Options dialog or from the reset pop-up menu of the attached Bing Maps in Raster Manager dialog.

Note: To use Bing Maps correctly your DGN file must have a geographic coordinate system assigned.

Providers and Terms of Use

When a Bing Maps layer is attached to a view, right click on the attached layer and select Providers and the Terms of Use from the reset pop-up menu, to access the list of data providers and see the terms of use of Bing Maps.
