Slab Solid

(3D only) Used to place an extruded solid with a rectangular cross-section.

You can access this tool from the following:

  • Ribbon: Modeling > Solids > Primitives
  • Toolbox: Primitive Solids

Axis Sets the direction in which the height is projected.
  • Points — Direction of height is defined graphically. AccuDraw can be used to define the drawing plane on which the points are placed.
  • Screen X, Y, or Z — Direction of the height is set to the screen's X, Y, or Z axis.
  • Drawing X, Y, or Z — Direction of the height is set to the drawing's, or design file's, X, Y, or Z axis.
Orthogonal If on, the edges are orthogonal.
Length If on, sets the length.
Width If on, sets the width.
Height If on, sets the height.
Note: Although the slab's length, width, and height can be specified as tool settings, for placing single slabs it is generally quicker and easier to type these distances into the AccuDraw window.
Note: To place an extrusion with a non-rectangular cross-section, use the Solid by Extrusion tool.
