To Connect to an Oracle Database from the Product Properties Dialog
- Right-click the product icon and from the menu that appears, choose Properties.
- In the Properties dialog, select the Shortcut tab.

At the end of the Target field, key in -wdoracle.
The Target field should now look something like this, depending on where you installed your product:
C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\microstation.exe -wdoracle C:\Program Files\Bentley\PowerDraft CONNECT Edition\PowerDraft\PowerDraft.exe -wdoracle
C:\Program Files\Bentley\Navigator\Navigator\navigator.exe -wdoracle
C:\Program Files\Bentley\ConstructSim\ConstructSim\constructsim.exe -wdoracle
- Click Apply to save the changes and close the dialog.
- Start OpenTunnel Designer by double-clicking its icon.

In the Key-in window, key in DB =<user_name>/<password>@<database_alias>.
Note: Starting OpenTunnel Designer with the -wdoracle switch automatically loads the configuration variables.The Oracle client files delivered with OpenTunnel Designer are for use with Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g.Note: If you have multiple Oracle clients installed on your system, ensure that the correct Oracle client files are used to connect to Oracle by setting the configuration variable MS_ORACLE_HOME in the oracle.cfg file located in the ..\config\database\ folder in OpenTunnel Designer's program directory.
