What's New in 2024 Update 2 Release

Welcome to OpenTunnel Designer. The following is a summary of some of the key features available in the 2024.00.02 release.

OpenTunnel Designer (OTD) 2024.00.02 contains the error corrections mentioned in the following paragraphs.

2024 Update1 Issue

Fixed the issue that caused 2024 Update 1 to be removed, which was related to circular referencing of DGNs in child or derived profiles. Not all files opened with 2024 Update 1 were affected.

2024 Update 2 now automatically scans and repairs affected DGN files when opened, making sure they are not affected by the previous issue. If a file was previously opened with 2024 Update 1, the software will check and fix it if needed. One of four dialogs will appear depending on whether the repair is successful.

  • The file was not affected by the issue.

  • The file was affected and has been successfully repaired.

  • The file was affected and has been repaired except for some objects that need to be recreated if they are still needed. These objects are shown in bold red and grouped for easy identification.

  • The file was affected and has been repaired, but some pre-existing issues remain. It should still be fine to use. If problems arise, contact support.
