To Set the Active Terrain
The terrain models are used to give context and aid the OpenGround boreholes creation by providing a target for borehole elevation.
To set the active terrain model for use with the active tunnel, use the following procedure.
If user created an active terrain model in the project file or if the project has multiple terrain models, he needs to set the terrain model as active for the active tunnel.
- Either :
- On the Home ribbon tab, select
the Terrain tool in the Tunnel
Geometry group.

OR
- key in tdgeometry tunnelalignment setactivedtm
- On the Home ribbon tab, select
the Terrain tool in the Tunnel
Geometry group.
- Data point on the terrain in the view window or select the terrain model in the
dialog.

The selected terrain model is now the active terrain for the active tunnel.
To remove the active terrain model from the active tunnel corridor, user has the option named “Deactivate Terrain Model” on Explorer when he right clicks on active terrain. Using this workflow, it is possible to remove the active terrain model from specific tunnel corridors.
