To Add a Multi Units

Adding multiple tunnel units under the same corridor can be achieved by using 2 different workflows.

Workflow 1

  1. Either: On the Home ribbon tab, select the Add multi units tool in the Tunnel Corridor Setup group.

    Key in TDGEOMETRY TUNNEL ADDMULTI

  2. (Optional) Type a Tunnel Corridor Name and Description.
  3. (Optional) Type a tunnel unit Description.
  4. Select the Tunnel Unit Type to use from the drop-down list.

    Or

    Conventional

  5. Either: Enter a Start Station

    Or

    Data point in a view window. Graphically select Start Station.

  6. The New dialog opens.

  7. Add a tunnel unit.
  8. Type unit name, RL length, skew angle and lengths between reference lines.
  9. Click OK. The units are added to the active corridor. The unit details can be seen in the Project Explorer dialog on the OpenTunnel Model Model tab.
    The options available in Create Tunnel Units dialog are:
    Setting Description


    Add

    Used to add tunnel unit.



    Remove

    Used to remove tunnel unit.



    Import

    Used to import a previously created file.



    Export

    Used to export tunnel unit to a given path.

Workflow 2

  1. Either:

    On the Home ribbon tab, select the Add Tunnel Corridor tool in the Tunnel Corridor setup group.



    or

    Key in TDGEOMETRY TUNNELCORRIDOR ADD



  2. (Optional) Type a tunnel corridor name and Description.
  3. (Optional) Type a Tunnel Unit Name and Description.
  4. Select the Tunnel Unit Type to use from the drop-down list.

  5. Select the desired alignment.
  6. Add referencelines for the active tunnel unit.
  7. Either:

    On the Home ribbon tab, select the command Add Tunnel Unit.



    Or

    Key in TDGEOMETRY TUNNEL ADD



  8. (Optional) Type a Unit Name and Description.
  9. Select the Tunnel Unit Type to use from the drop-down list.

  10. Select either before (Start option) the current active tunnel unit or after (End option) the current active tunnel unit from the Location drop-down list.

  11. Data point in a view window. The unit details can be seen in the Project Explorer dialog on the OpenTunnel Model tab.
