Construction Scheduler

The Construction Scheduler option provides an environment where the user can create construction stages that will be assigned to the tunnel objects.

Settings Description
Stage Properties Stage #

Used to give a number to the stages.

Task Name

Used to give a description of the stages.

Element

Used to select one of the elements under the groups that are Lining Segment, Reinforcements, Auxiliaries.



Action

Used to select one of the possible action states respectively Activate or Deactivate.



Duration Start Day

Used to define a day that the stage is started.

Duration

Used to define a time that shows how long the stage lasts.

Save Used to save the current data.
OK

Used to save the current data, close the GUI and update solid properties.

Cancel

Used to disregard the current data after the last saved version.

The template preview shown in the GUI will list all the elements defined in the template regardless if they have been created as 3d objects in the mode.

The workflow to add stages is as follows:

  • To add stages, go to Construction tab> Scheduler> Construction Scheduler.
  • The Construction Scheduler GUI will be opened.
  • Expand tunnel corridor, tunnel unit and select the section where you want to add stages.
  • Click on the row to add a new item.

  • Define Stage #,Task Name, Element, Action, Start Day and Duration for each row.
  • After selecting an element when user clicks on the stage, selected element will be highlighted on Tunnel Template Preview.

  • User will have options when he right clicks on the row to cut, copy, paste, insert above, insert below and delete the stages. Cut, copy , paste options can be used to save/read data from Excel files.

  • User has another option called Apply To. It allows user to open Selection Pattern wizard and by using the wizard, user will be able to copy stages to other sections with a defined pattern.

    Settings Description
    Start Section Index Used to show the section which the stages are copied from.
    End Section Index Used to define the last section.
    Section Interval A value of 0 means that each section along the section interval will receive the same stage information a s the start section. A value greater than 0, will add an interval between then the first section and the next section.
    Day Interval Used to define the number of days between the previous and next start day.
    Calculate Used to calculate the pattern according to corresponding inputs.
    Cancel Used to exit the dialog without making any change.

    For Section Interval= 0 , the stages will be copied from the start section (e.g. Section 1) and be placed to the following sections : 2,3,4,5,..n

    For Section Interval= 1 , the stages will be copied from the start section (e.g. Section 1) and be placed to the following sections : 3,5,7...n-1

    For Day Interval = 0 , the start days in the stages (e.g. 1,3,5 ) will be ?2,4,6? for the following section.

    For Day Interval = 1 , the start day in the stages (e.g. 1,3,5 ) will be ?3,5,7? for the following section.

  • User has ?Reset? option which can be seen by right clicking on Tunnel Unit and it allows user to delete all of the stage informations on the selected tunnel unit.

Limitations on Construction Scheduler:

  • User can add stage information to auxiliaries only when they are placed by using"With Sections"method. User cannot see auxiliaries under Element on Construction Scheduler GUI when they are placed by using"Along Tunnel" and "Custom".
  • Stages cannot be added for Cell type elements.
  • Stages cannot be added for Portal, Shaft and Room.
